Draw Integrity
The public trust standard for fair, auditable DR3AMS winner selection.
Every valid ticket receives one equal position in a locked roster. DR3AMS uses a server-side cryptographic random source, SHA-256 rejection sampling and an append-only audit trail so the selected position can be independently reproduced from the retained evidence.
1. Verifiably random winner selection
A fresh 32-byte seed is generated by the operating system's cryptographically secure random source when the draw runs. It is not supplied by staff and is not calculated from customer information.
The published algorithm version, sha256-rejection-v1, uses rejection sampling so every position in the locked roster has the same probability of selection.
2. Entry reconciliation
Before a draw, DR3AMS reconciles entries against payment status, free-entry processing, refunds, void entries and eligibility flags.
3. Locked dataset
The final ticket dataset is stored as an immutable snapshot and fingerprinted with SHA-256. The draw recalculates and checks that fingerprint before selection, and refuses to continue if the snapshot differs.
4. Role-based access
Only authenticated administrators with winner-management permission can trigger a draw. The initiating administrator is recorded, and the operation requires an explicit irreversible-action confirmation.
5. Independence
Winner selection is performed by the documented server process rather than by staff choosing a ticket. The evidence retained allows an authorised reviewer or investigator to reproduce the selected position independently.
6. Draw evidence
- Competition ID and unique draw-record ID.
- Snapshot lock time, SHA-256 fingerprint and eligible-ticket count.
- The 256-bit random seed and algorithm version.
- Selected roster index and winning ticket.
- Draw timestamp and responsible administrator.
- Winner verification and prize-fulfilment outcome.
- Documented redraw evidence and reason, if the published rules require one.
7. Internal access is not a winning advantage
Employees, contractors and connected suppliers should be subject to a clear conflict-of-interest and entry policy so no person involved in the draw can influence or benefit improperly from the process.
